Sponsor Spotlight
We’re proud to share a feature from NABC Platinum Sponsor IAC. Learn more about the company and what they’re looking forward to at the North American Biochar Conference.
IAC is a vertically integrated EPC contractor and OEM manufacturer that engineers, fabricates, installs, and commissions dust collection, material handling, and thermal processing systems for industrial facilities. Its reputation is built on solving high-temperature particulate and thermal emissions challenges for biomass, biochar, minerals, steel, and power generation clients.

What is an exciting development you’ve achieved or are working toward?
IAC is advancing an integrated biomass pyrolysis platform built around its Arrayed Drop Tube Calciner (DTC) technology, the center of this year’s technical paper at NABC. DTC is the pyrolysis and energy recovery platform, converting biomass into renewable syngas, engineered biocarbon products, process heat, and dispatchable power at industrial scale, unlike power-only renewable technologies, offering multiple pathways for industrial decarbonization. Steve Baloga will be presenting the full paper at the conference.
Who are you most looking forward to connecting with at NABC this year?
Project developers and producers who are ready to move biochar and pyrolysis from pilot scale to full industrial deployment, as well as EAF steelmakers, chemical manufacturers, and others evaluating renewable carbon as a replacement for fossil-derived inputs. IAC’s strength is in taking integrated systems from concept to commissioning, so the conversations that matter most are with teams facing that exact next step.
What would you like to invite attendees to engage with while at the conference?
Stop by the booth and talk with our team about the DTC platform, especially if you’re evaluating how pyrolysis fits into a broader decarbonization strategy or need a partner who can engineer, fabricate, and construct the full system rather than hand off pieces to multiple contractors. If you’re weighing renewable carbon products for EAF steelmaking or industrial decarbonization, that’s exactly the conversation IAC wants to have at NABC.
